yo-

writing & art here is sorted chronologically (newest first, oldest last) per fandom (mostly of an RPS variety) & spans about two or three years. i make no claims about the quality of the older stuff. or the newer stuff, for that matter.

disclaimer: everything is fiction & depicts fake situations, & characters who only have an outline resemblence to the real people off which the writing is based. i make no claim to knowing anyone or anything. as far as i'm aware, none of this ever happened, & i'm really, really not making any profit from it. for serious.

onwards!

Gerard/Mikey
PG-13
~2500

a/n: first real bit of writing in a long time. an exploration of gerard & mikey's unconventional relationship.

Sometimes, things happened, and Gerard didn't know how to explain them at all. )

Build Me Up, Buttercup ¦¦ PG-13 ¦¦ ~1570 ¦¦ MCR ¦¦ Frank/Gerard (background Gerard/Lyn-Z, Frank/Jamia)

Disclaimer: I know no-one & own nothing

Summary: A flower is a flower to Frank, but Gerard's the artist.

A/N: prompted for the letter 'f' by [info]ponderous_onion with frankie, flowers. kind of challenging if i didn't want to deviate into a sappy valentine's fic where there are dinner dates and expensive bouquets. this is something a little different, i guess. information about the language of flowers found here & here.

Sunrises were painted a thousand times, but the real beauty was in the last sunrise you'd ever see. )

Disclaimer: I know no-one & own nothing

Warning: blood & zombie-death

A/N: i wasn't the original artist for [info]woebetidesweets' exceptional [info]bandombigbang entry, Pennies and Colder Fountains, but after reading it, i was so utterly in love with the characters & the imagery that i just had to draw something from it.

frank, mikey, a remington 870, a machete, one dead fuckin' zombie. )

Ghosts ¦¦ PG ¦¦ ~290 ¦¦ The Used ¦¦ Bert/Quinn

Disclaimer: I know no one and own nothing

Summary: Quinn never believed in ghosts as a kid.

A/N: so. i was trawling through my writing tags on my lj, & i came across a meme i did sometime in october where i asked people to pick a letter of the alphabet & give me a prompt, fandom & pairing or whatever for that letter. for some reason (maybe because i was too busy doing everything wrong at the time, i don't know) i never did any of them. but then i had a sudden urge to drabble.

so, way, way back, [info]un_related picked 'g', & gave me ghost, & quinn from the used. so i just churned out this drabble for her based on that, quinn-centric, with a vague bert/quinn vibe. it's about nine months late, but, uhh. idk, i hope you like it. this is set around the time bert came to stay with quinn, struggling with addictions & leaving home.

They made good stories, sure. But they weren't real. )

Nightride ¦¦ PG ¦¦ ~5,300 ¦¦ Placebo ¦¦ mostly gen with one-sided Stefan/Brian & pre-Stefan/Steve ¦¦ AU

Disclaimer: I know no one and own nothing

Summary: Brian Molko is the lead singer and charismatic frontman of up-and-coming, London-based rock band, Ashtray Heart. Stefan Olsdal is obsessed, and to escape everything he hates around him, he goes to shady club, the Nightride, every Thursday to catch a glimpse of the band. And Steve Hewitt is just the kid who follows him around.

A/N: um. this is possibly the last placebo fic i'll ever write. the fandom & the characters are running a little dry for me, but i had an urge, a month or so ago, to wax poetic about brian molko's voice, & then this happened. i hope you like it in all its stuttering, half-formed, directionless glory.

Steve clicks his tongue, the cigarette bobbing, unlit, between his lips. He removes it, looking thoughtful. 'You're weird,' he says, then shrugs. 'That's cool, though.' )

Title: Behind the Glass (Just a Peeping Tom)

Chapter: [1/1]

Word count: ~ 700

Fandom: Placebo

Pairing: pre Brian/Steve

POV: 3rd, Brian

Rating: PG

Disclaimer: I know no one and own nothing

Summary: It always feels, from this side of the glass, like no-one else can see what’s going on. -- Brian watches from far away. Steve calls him closer.

Author's Notes: This is sort of like a snapshot fic from a non-existent, longer AU taking place in Brian's college years. I might revisit this verse, I'm not sure.

Title: A Little Less Interview with a Vampire, A Little More Sesame Street (or The One With the Non-AU Halloween Party)

Pairing: Pete/Patrick

Other Characters: Andy, Joe

Rating: WS

Materials: HB pencil, Unipin graphic pen, touch-ups in Finepix

Notes: For the Halloween Ficathon at [info]peterickfics! A series of four kind of silly drawings with drabble-esque ficlets accompanying them.

The situation is, in all honesty, completely ridiculous. )

Title: Can't Keep My Hands Off You (or The One With The Cheese Porn)

Chapter: [1/1]

Word count: ~ 1800

Fandom: The Mighty Boosh

Pairing: Howard/Vince

POV: 3rd, the cheese

Rating: R

Disclaimer: I know no one and own nothing

Summary: Seeing as he possessed neither manners nor morality (he was only a slab of gruyere, for God’s sake) the cheese was simply content to watch eagerly as Vince pressed himself up close to Howard.

Author's Notes: Never having written anything in the Boosh fandom beforehand, it is obviously logical that my first foray into this world would come in the form of a cracked-out birthday present for a friend, featuring Howard/Vince porn from the point of view of a chunk of gruyere. Obviously.

Warning: Not that it should be an issue, but this requires some serious suspension of disbelief. This is soft porn with hard cheese. Um. *facepalm* Features sex, some language, & major crack. Did I mention the cheese?Howard. The cheese melted. )

Title: A Night at the VMAs (Or How Joe Trohman Finally Got Into Andy Hurley's Pants.)

Chapter: One-shot.

Word count: ~6,800

Fandom: Decaydance bands

Pairings: Pete/Patrick, Bill/Travis, Gabe/Ryan, Brendon/Justin Timberlake (ohmygod, I know), Brendon/Spencer, Joe/Andy.

POV: 3rd, alternating

Rating: R

Disclaimer: I know no one and own nothing

Summary: "Jesus," Andy says, looking down at his own glass of water. “Did they put something in the drinks?"

Author's Notes: I don't even know. This was spawned from a post by [info]disarm_d (wtf, why can't I think of fic ideas of my own accord anymore?) following the video from the VMAs where Gabe is Gabe-like & Ryan Ross is drunk. And then there was 14-odd pages of non-chronological, POV-switching, multi-pairing VMA shennanigans. Also, let's pretend RL significant others just don't exist for the moment, mmkay? Sidenote: there is no Justin Timberlake porn, here. Sorry to disappoint. I swear, I tried, but it just -- wasn't happening. xD

Other Characters: Ryan (P!atD)

Rating: WS

Materials: Rotring graphic pen, Derwent Watercolour Pencils, Karisma Colour Pencils, touch-ups in Finepix

Notes: For the [info]band_princesses challenge. How much do I love RyanRoss as a moody pixie? A lot, that's how much. :D

- Huge amount of thanks goes to [info]britchick5000 for beta-ing this for me. Her knowledge of Oxbridge & general historical brilliance helped make this into what it is. She did an amazing job, and I learnt a great deal, too. For example, did you know that it was fabric handkerchiefs, and not paper tissues that were used until the 1970s? Without [info]britchick5000 's help, this small yet significant error would have remained. xD

- Thank you also to [info]periculosa for her encouraging words and without whose excellent nitpicking many stray commas and rogue apostrophes would have gone unedited.

- A final word of thanks to [info]mack_at_home for unsticking my brain so that I could finally write the ending.

- The lines being read out at the poetry reading come from Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

- Title of the fic comes from the song of the same name by Nine Inch Nails, Right Where it Belongs. (DL link.)

- Cut-tag also from the similarly-named Nine Inch Nails song, We're in This Together. (DL link.)

- Lyrics at the beginning of the fic from Placebo's English Summer Rain. (DL link.)

- I hope you all enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. It was quite a challenge, keeping it historically accurate and attempting a style to go with the period. I kind of don't want to let this AU go. :D
